Business Out Reach Services
KLSBEC recognizes that time is at a premium for many business owners and it can often be difficult to spend time away from your business. That’s why the KLSBEC has launched a new, FREE, Out Reach Service where KLSBEC manager, Diane Steven will be available to come out and visit your place of business.
During the on-site visit you will be updated on business services, events, and seminars that would be of benefit to your business. You will also be given the opportunity to consult with Diane about your business and address any concerns you may be having.

The KLSBEC offers an extensive resource library that includes books, magazines, directories, and reference materials that will assist you with your business research and planning.
Free Business Guides:
The KLSBEC resource library is fully stocked with a wide range of free business guides to assist with all aspects of starting and operating your business.
Computer Workstation and Internet Access
The KLSBEC provides access to a computer workstation with up-to-date software and high-speed Internet access, to assist in your business research and planning. There will be KLSBEC staff on-site and available to direct you to numerous on-line resources.

The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is a national organization aimed at helping to create and develop Canadian businesses through financing, venture capital and consulting services, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
BDC offers financing services related to long-term loans for projects and working capital, subordinate financing: hybrid debt and equity financing, and venture capital: direct and indirect investments in high technology companies.

Community Futures Development Corporation
Community Futures Development Corporation provides access to small business loans within the City of Kawartha Lakes.
CFDC can provide loans of up to $125,000 and under certain conditions, more may be available.
